Wild lettuce (Tithymalus): Wild lettuce has many names. The Greeks call it eudaxagria, and others hieration, pittis citribita, inoborfor and lactuca silvatica. It grows in sandy places and is used to clear the eyes. To remedy darkness in the eyes, take the juice of this plant and mix it well in a small glass jar with mature wine, honey and bile of hawk or any other bird of prey. Apply to the eyes at least three times a day. An eagle that wants to fly high must eat this beforehand, which is why this is the bird that sees best in the heights. In moderate quantities it is the best of all plants and generates plenty of good blood.
