Tree of Jesse formed of eighteen round medallions with, on each column, six busts of prophets and apostles. Flanking Christ at the top are Peter and Paul. The five prophets on each side below the two apostles cannot be individually identified. If the scrolls they hold had inscriptions such identification would be possible. They are probably those whose prophecies relate to Christ found in contemporary Tree of Jesse representations: Amos, Daniel, Ezekiel, Habakkuk, Hosea, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Joel, Malachi and Micah. The central column reading from the bottom has busts of Jesse, three kings (two probably being David and Solomon), Virgin Mary and Christ. Clumps of “Byzantine blossom” fill in the spaces between the medallions.
